'Cafes, bars and pubs' ...articles and information

Vienna is of course best known for its traditional coffee house culture (though we have Starbucks now, too), but hosts a variety of drinking and eating establishments, from top class restaurants through to streetside sausage vendors, from Irish pubs to exclusive cocktail bars.

Given the local beer culture, it’s no surprise to find numerous fine drinking establishments in Vienna. One of these is the Bierteufl, a cosy bar in the third district, within walking distance of the U3 and U4 subway lines (station: Wien Mitte / Landstrasse) or the O tram.
