A capital city and top tourist destination can't survive on nice buildings alone. So there's no shortage of modern and classical entertainment to keep locals and visitors alike entertained.
Vienna has various theaters, movie theaters, opera houses and music venues (classical, jazz, rock, indie etc.), not to mention numerous special events like the Life Ball, New Years Eve celebrations, Jazz Festival and many more. The city has more screens showing movies in the original English than most cities in Britain.
